Derkon
The settlement of Derkon is an urban islet next to the coastal settlements. Constantinopolitan refugees from the province of Derkon founded it in 1930 to settle 182 families. It is defined by Iraklias, Karatasou, Drakopoulou, Mikroulea, Kolotourou, Adramytiou and Evelpidou streets. The settlement lacked a church and school, so the residents visited Kalamaria. Derkon had numerous shops, and most residents were merchants. The settlement was also home to wealthy lawyers, doctors, teachers and pharmacists.
